How it works

Three steps. Plain English results.

Like a friend who already figured this out — and is sharing everything they learned.

1

Upload whatever you have

Benefits guides, SBCs, enrollment packets, fertility benefit docs — even if you're not sure what matters. We'll find what does, and tell you if anything important is missing.

2

We decode it — then double-check it

IVF cycles, medications, egg freezing, exclusions, costs — translated into plain English, verified against your documents in a second pass, and cited so you can see the exact source of every claim.

3

You get answers you can act on

What's covered, what's not, what you'd likely pay — plus the exact questions to ask HR or your insurer about anything your documents don't answer.

Common questions

We thought you might ask.

What documents should I upload?

Upload any health insurance documents you have available — benefits guides, open enrollment packets, Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC), insurance carrier documents, or fertility benefit documents from Progyny, Maven, Carrot, WIN, or similar. Not sure what's relevant? Upload whatever you have and we'll identify the right information.

Can you estimate what I'd pay out of pocket?

Yes. Based on your plan's actual coverage data, we project costs across medications, retrieval, transfers, genetic testing, and storage — accounting for the reality that most patients need more than one attempt.

Can you work with any employer plan?

Yes. We work with all major employer-sponsored plans, including those with Progyny, Carrot, or standard carrier benefits (Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, BCBS). Upload your documents and we'll take it from there.

How do I know the analysis is accurate?

Three ways. Every claim is checked in a second verification pass against your actual documents before you see it. Every coverage statement comes with a "view plan language" button showing the verbatim quote and which file it came from. And when your documents don't answer something — or reference a rider or amendment you didn't upload — we say so plainly instead of guessing, and tell you exactly what to ask for.

I live in a different state than my employer. Does that matter?

It can matter a lot. Insurers often issue "extraterritorial amendments" that replace entire benefit sections — including fertility — for members living in certain states, and state fertility mandates can apply based on where the policy was issued. Tell us your state and we'll flag when an amendment might exist that changes your coverage.

I'm choosing between plans during open enrollment. Can you compare them?

That's exactly what our sister tool is for. Plan Decoder takes documents for up to 4 plans and gives you a side-by-side comparison, cost scenarios, and a verdict on which plan is strongest for fertility care.

Will my information be sold?

Never. Your data and benefit documents are used only to produce your analysis. We will never sell or share your information.
